Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (415) 781-1111. San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Go prepped for a food coma- yum food, stuffed bellies and πŸ’Έ We went on a weekend, it was packed from 12-3 for lunch. Reservations are best. Walk in are taken too (would recommend after 2pm for that). Ordering from the menu can be confusing, best is to look into the carts and tell then if you want something. I am someone who gets overwhelmed with large menus so dint get it. But the staff are super helpful- just tell them your food restrictions and they offer you dishes accordingly. I had all the shrimp dishes (sorry cant name them) so will try to describe them as best possible- shrimp steam roll thing great, scallop balls amazing, shrimp dumplings goooood, fried shrimp good. Since i dont eat pork I cant recommend, but my friends said the pork soup dumpling and sui mai was the best of all the pork stuff they tried. Jasmine tea was so nice and a refreshing change with it all. Yellow wasabi/ mustard sauce πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ And surprisingly the edamame was a shocker! Sooooo freaking good (saying a person who usually doesnt order veg dishes) it was fresh crisp and yummy- we had it like popcorns- polished two plates of that like it was 🍿 The sesame ball was truly deliciously delightful- worth the hig

We had a 12:30 booking but arrived 30 minutes late. The hostess was still able to squeeze us in, thank you! Unfortunately service was incredibly slow throughout the meal. Beverages took a long time to arrive and we had to request service several times. The food itself was good. The dim sum was delicious and the pork buns were our favourite. The prawn noodles were also tasty, though I think they would have been even better with a bit more sauce. A few dishes arrived cold though, which was disappointing. Overall the food was solid, but the slow service really affected the experience.

Incredible dim sum β€” seriously, you will not be able to stop eating once the carts start rolling! Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and the variety means there’s always something new to try. Service was attentive and smooth too.

Super fun experience, recommended for larger groups but great for couples also although best tables are for larger parties. We arrived early for brunch and it was already busy, but we didn’t have to wait for a table for two. Food was good and tasty and it’s always a fun experience to pick dishes from the carts, soup dumplings were our favorites.

We were not properly seated yet but the carts came to us immediately. I love that ! I love to order fast, eat fast and go away. The food is very good. Hong Kong level to me. The crew was super friendly. A bit on the pricey side though.
